In 2022, devastating floods swept through several communities in Kogi State, Nigeria, displacing families, destroying homes, and cutting off access to food, clean water, and basic healthcare.
GIFWIL responded swiftly and compassionately.
Through the Kogi Flood Relief Initiative, we mobilized resources and volunteers to bring emergency support to the affected areas. Relief materials—including food supplies, clothing, mattresses, sanitary items, and medical kits—were distributed to hundreds of families who had lost everything overnight.
This effort wasn’t just about aid; it was about presence. About showing up for people in their darkest moments and standing with them as they begin again.
